The Xiamen Jinlu Cutting Tools Thailand production base officially opened, marking a new chapter in its global expansion.

On December 23, 2025, the grand opening ceremony for Thailand Jinlu Cutting Tools Production Base—the first overseas production facility of Xiamen Jinlu Cutting Tools—was held in Rayong Province, Thailand, marking a crucial step in the global expansion of the cutting tools business.

On the day of the opening ceremony, Sun Dongping, General Manager of Xiamen Jinlu, Zou Lingli, General Manager of the Cutting Tools Division, Wang Mingsheng, General Manager of Alloy Business Unit One, Qiu Wei, General Manager of Alloy Business Unit Two, Zheng Yi, General Manager of Thai Jinlu, and representatives from all levels of staff at both Xiamen Jinlu and Thai Jinlu gathered together to jointly witness this momentous occasion. The opening ceremony kicked off with a solemn and locally distinctive blessing ritual, creating a warm yet dignified atmosphere at the venue.

From "single-point breakthrough" to "systematic layout"

A crucial step in global expansion

Sun Dongping, General Manager of Xiamen Jinlu, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. In his speech, Mr. Sun stated that the completion and commissioning of the Thailand Jinlu Cutting Tools Production Base marks the company’s establishment of an integrated manufacturing capability in Southeast Asia—from cemented carbide materials to high-end cutting tools. This represents a key strategic move for Jinlu to proactively integrate into the global value chain of high-end manufacturing, and it also signifies an important milestone on Jinlu’s journey toward global expansion.

As the first production base built overseas by the Cutting Tools Division, the Thailand plant not only extends the company’s production capacity but also serves as a key platform for exporting global manufacturing capabilities, management systems, and technical standards. The base has introduced several mature and stable cutting tool production lines and simultaneously implemented the company’s unified quality management system and manufacturing standards. With a primary focus on the ASEAN region and global markets, the plant produces high-performance, high-precision cemented carbide cutting tools.

From capacity expansion to value creation

The commissioning of the Thailand cutting tool production base carries multiple strategic significances:

First, as a key pillar of the company’s “Global Supply” system, leveraging Thailand’s geographical advantages, we will build a regional manufacturing center and supply-chain hub that radiates throughout ASEAN and connects to the global market, further enhancing our delivery responsiveness and supply-chain resilience.

Second, as an important platform for deepening localized operations, it brings us closer to overseas customers and industrial clusters, enabling us to provide customers with more agile and customized product and technical services, thereby achieving deep collaboration and co-creation of value with our customers.

Third, as a pilot base for global operations of cutting tools, we will systematically validate the construction model, operational mechanisms, and organizational structure of overseas factories; cultivate a pipeline of internationally-minded talent; promote the development of global collaborative capabilities across management, technology, and supply-chain systems; and provide replicable and scalable experience for Jinlu’s future overseas expansion.

After the opening ceremony concluded, guests toured the Thai cutting tools production facility accompanied by staff members and highly praised the facility’s production line layout, equipment configuration, and management level.
